According to the latest forecasts presented at the 89th Euroconstruct Conference in Stockholm on 12 June 2020, the European construction market will see an abrupt downturn this year, but a slow recovery will begin as early as next year. It is a well-known fact that European construction markets have experienced a lot of challenges, with stagnation trends in many countries. Not surprisingly, the ongoing crisis will have a huge negative impact on the markets in all the Euroconstruct
countries this year. However, the national experts are predicting positive growth rates as early as in 2021 and normalisation in 2022.
