چكيده فارسي :
پسامدرنيسم با بن‌فكني همه بنيان‌ها و روايت‌هاي كلان، شرايطي را به‌وجود آورده است كه در آن كثرت‌گرايي و تعدد، مبناي اتخاذ سياست‌هاست. در حالي كه عده‌اي از انديشمندان از امتناع شكل‌گيري سياست در فضاي پسامدرني صحبت كرده و فقدان مبنا را براي پايه‌گذاري نظريۀ سياسي نامناسب دانسته‌اند، عده‌اي ديگر درصدد بوده‌اند تا سياست متناسب با اين فضا را هم از لحاظ نظري و هم از جنبۀ عملي بنيان نهند. از جمله اين افراد، «ويليام كونولي» است كه با ابداع مفاهيمي چون كثرت‌گرايي چندبعدي، سياست مبتني بر هستي‌شناسي، سياست برآمدن، تفاهم انتقادي و احترام مجادله‌اي، سياست در شرايط پسامدرن را تبيين نموده و متناسب با تعدد، تكثر، پراكندگي و تفاوت هويت‌ها، راهكار عملي پيش نهاده است. دموكراسي مجادله‌اي، كه البته بانيان و طرفداران ديگري چون شانتال موفه، ديويد اوون و جيمز تولي را نيز همراه خود دارد، راه‌كاري است كه به عنوان راهكار عملي بديل به جاي دموكراسي رأي‌زنانه پيشنهاد شده و امكان زندگي سياسي شمول‌گرا، اقتضايي و مسئوليت‌پذيري را همراه با منازعۀ احترام‌انگيز هويت‌هاي جديد، شگفت‌انگيز، پيش‌بيني ناپذير، متفاوت و حتي متناقض مورد توجه قرار داده است. عدم قطعيت، پيش‌بيني‌ناپذيري، كنار هم نهادن عقايد الهي و الحادي در شرايط تكثر هويت‌هاي جنسيتي، زباني، نژادي و فرهنگي از مؤلفه‌هايي است كه كونولي در سياست پسامدرني مورد توجه و تبيين قرار داده است.
چكيده لاتين :
Postmodernism, by deconstructing all the foundations and meta-narratives, has created a situation in which pluralism is the basis for policy-making. While some scholars have spoken of the refusal to form politics in the postmodern space, and have considered the lack of a basis for establishing political theory inappropriate, others have sought to establish a policy appropriate to this space, both theoretically and practically. Among them is "William Connolly", who, by inventing concepts such as multidimensional pluralism, onto-politics, politics of becoming, critical responsiveness, and agonistic respect, explained postmodern politics, and proportionate with multiplicity, pluralism, dispersion, and diversity of identities has proposed a practical solution. Agonistic democracy, which of course includes other founders and proponents such as Chantal Mouffe, David Owen, and James Tully, is a viable alternative to deliberative democracy and attends it as an inclusive, contingent, and accountable political life, by respectful contestation of wonderful, different and even contradictory new identities. Uncertainty, unpredictability, juxtaposition of divine and atheistic beliefs in the context of the multiplicity of gender, linguistic, racial and cultural identities are some of the components that Connolly has considered and explained in postmodern politics.
