قاچاق كالا بخشي از اقتصاد كشور است كه با هدف سود آوري از سوي عوامل تجارت غير قانوني انجام مي شود، و به عنوان يكي از مولفه هاي مهم فساد اقتصادي، اثرات بسيار نامطلوبي در زمينه اقتصاد كشور دارد. مقاله حاضر، به روش توصيفي و با استفاده از منابع و تحقيقات موجود (روش اسنادي) انجام شد. نتايج نشان داد كه قاچاق كالا باعث كسري درآمد ملي كشور شده بر ساختار داخلي جامعه با ايجاد موسسه هاي قدرتمند غير قانوني تاثير مي گذارد، همچنين الگوها و شيوه هاي مصرف را تغيير مي دهد. در مقياس كلان جامعه، معضل قاچاق كالا نه فقط سيستم اقتصادي يك كشور را متاثر مي سازد و گاه ضربات سنگيني به آن وارد مي آورد، بلكه تاثيرات فراواني بر پيكره فرهنگي – اجتماعي يك جامعه دارد. افزايش بيكاري و مشكلات ناشي از آن، ركود اقتصادي، توسعه نيافتگي صنعت و اشتغال و محروميت، تغييرات الگوي مصرف و حتي در برخي موارد تغييرات سيستم ارزشي جامعه، از جمله مواردي است كه ميتوان به پيامدهاي قاچاق كالا در جامعه اشاره نمود.
