Determination of the date of the Qur’an in Iran

تاريخ‌گذاري قرآن و شناخت زمان و مرتبۀ تاريخي آيات و سور قرآني يكي از مهم‌ترين مباحث روز علوم قرآني است. قرآن پژوهان معاصر ايراني در اين زمينه تحقيقاتي داشته‌اند كه به دو گروه عمدۀ متن‌گرايان و نقل‌گرايان تقسيم مي‌شوند. اين مقاله ضمن بيان ديدگاه‌هاي فوق و بررسي روش‌هاي تاريخ‌گذاري آن‌ها كه شامل «آهنگي- موضوعي»، «مضمون نگري»، «رياضي- آماري»، «نقلي محض» و «نقل متكي بر متن» مي‌شود، به اين نتيجه رسيده كه مطمئن‌ترين راه در تاريخ‌گذاري قرآن «نقل متكي بر متن» است.

Date determination of the Qur’an and knowing the time and the historical level of Qur’anic verses and surahs is one of the most important issues of the day in the field of Qur’anic science. Contemporary Iranian Qur’anic scholars have researched in this field, which is divided into two major groups of textualists and those scholars who get knowledge derived from oral tradition. In this article, while outlining the above views, and by examining their date determination methods, which includes "tonal-thematic ", "thematic", "mathematical-statistical", "pure narrative" and "text-based”, it is concluded that the most reliable way in date determination of the Qur’an is " narration relying on the text ".
