جنبه فاعلي نفس در پيدايش ادراك مورد پذيرش ابن سينا و ملاصدراست پذيرش اين ديدگاه دو پرسش اساسي به دنبال دارد كه محور پژوهش حاضر را شكل مي دهد پرسش اول اين كه چگونه نفس قدرت بر ايجاد صورت ادراكي دارد در حالي كه خود در ابتدا فاقد آن مي باشد و در پرسش دوم مطرح مي گردد با توجه به اين كه اميال و گرايش هاي نفساني در جهت گيري اراده موثر مي-باشد چگونه مي توان بين فاعليت ارادي نفس در پيدايش ادراك و نظريه مطابقت و معيار صدق آن وجه جمعي ارايه داد در پاسخ به پرسش اول بيان مي گردد نفس در ابتدا پذيرنده مي باشد و بعد از تحصيل ملكه ي صور جنبه فاعلي ظهور مي يابد و در پاسخ به پرسش دوم بيان مي گردد كه اراده نفس در تحصيل مقدمات پيدايش صور ادراكي موثر است همچنين فاعليت نفس نسبت به صور حسي فاعليت بالطبع مي باشد كه اراده در آن دخالت ندارد و در باب تصديقات اولي نفس بالضروره به ثبوت محمول براي موضوع حكم مي كند و در تصديقات نظري كه به بديهيات بازمي گردد هنگامي كه مقدمات قياس در كنار يكديگر قرار گرفتند نتيجه براساس قاعده عليت از آن حاصل مي گردد و اراده نفس در تعيين نتيجه دخالتي ندارد در نتيجه خدشه اي به ديدگاه مطابقت وارد نمي گردد.
