Assessing the Need to Pay Attention to the Ethical Considerations of Medical Staff in Dealing with Patients with Covid-19

ﺑﺸﺮ، ﻃﻲ ﺩﻫﻪﻫﺎﻱ ﺍﺧﻴﺮ، ﺍﺯ ﻃﺮﻓﻲ ﺑﺎ ﭘﺪﻳﺪﻩﻫﺎﻱ ﺟﻮ ﻱ ﻭ ﺗﻐﻴﻴﺮﺍﺕ ﻣﺤﻴﻄــﻲ ﻭ ﺍﺯ ﻃــﺮﻑ ﺩﻳﮕﺮ، ﺑﺎ ﻇﻬﻮﺭ ﺑﻴﻤﺎﺭﻱﻫﺎﻱ ﻧﻮﭘﺪﻳﺪ ﻣﻮﺍﺟﻪ ﺑﻮﺩﻩ ﺍﺳﺖ. ﻣــﺪﻳﺮﻳﺖ ﺑﻴﻤﺎﺭﻱﻫــﺎﻱ ﻧﻮﭘﺪﻳــﺪ، ﻣﺴﺘﻠﺰﻡ ﺩﺭﻧﻈﺮﮔﺮﻓﺘﻦ ﺭﻭﻳﮑﺮﺩ ﺍﺧﻼﻗﻲ ﺑﺮﺍﻱ ﮐﻨﺘــﺮﻝ ﻭ ﻣﺮﺍﻗﺒــﺖ ﺍﺯ ﺍﻳــﻦ ﺑﻴﻤﺎﺭﻱﻫﺎﺳــﺖ. ﻣﻌﻀﻼﺕ ﺍﺧﻼﻗﻲ ﺣﺎﺻﻞ ﺍﺯ ﭘﻴﺸﺮﻓﺖ ﻫﺎﻱ ﺗﺸﺨﻴﺼﻲ ﻭ ﺩﺭﻣﺎﻧﻲ ﻧﻮﻳﻦ ﺩﺭ ﻋﻠﻢ ﭘﺰﺷــﮑﻲ، ﺿﺮﻭﺭﺕ ﭘﺮﺩﺍﺧﺘﻦ ﺑﻪ ﺍﺧﻼﻕ ﭘﺰﺷﮑﻲ ﺭﺍ ﺩﻭﭼﻨﺪﺍﻥ ﮐــﺮﺩﻩ ﺍﺳــﺖ. ﻳﮑــﻲ ﺍﺯ ﺑﻴﻤﺎﺭﻱﻫــﺎﻱ ﻧﻮﭘﺪﻳﺪ ﺩﺭ ﻗﺮﻥ ﺣﺎﺿــﺮ ﮐــﻪ ﺗﻘﺮﻳﺒــﴼ، ﻫﻤــﻪﻱ ﺟﻬــﺎﻥ ﺑــﺎ ﺁﻥ ﺭﻭﺑــ ﻪﺭﻭ ﺷــﺪﻩﺍﻧﺪ، ﺑﻴﻤــﺎﺭﻱ ﮐﺮﻭﻧﺎﻭﻳﺮﻭﺱ ﺍﺳﺖ . ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪﻱ ﺣﺎﺿﺮ، ﺑﺎ ﻫﺪﻑ ﺑﺮﺭﺳﻲ ﺿﺮﻭﺭﺕ ﺗﻮﺟﻪ ﮐﺎﺩﺭ ﺩﺭﻣﺎﻧﻲ، ﺑﻪ ﻣﻼﺣﻈﺎﺕ ﺍﺧﻼﻗﻲ ﺩﺭ ﻣﺮﺍﻗﺒﺖ ﺍﺯ ﺑﻴﻤﺎﺭﺍﻥ ﻣﺒﺘﻼ ﺑــﻪ ﻭﻳــﺮﻭﺱ ﮐﻮﻭﻳــﺪ 19، ﺍﻧﺠــﺎﻡ ﺷــﺪﻩ ﺍﺳﺖ. ﺩﺭ ﺍﻳﻦ ﭘﮋﻭﻫﺶ، ﻋﻼﻭﻩ ﺑﺮ ﺍﺳﺘﻔﺎﺩﻩ ﺍﺯ ﻣﻘﺎﻻﺕ ﻣﻨﺘﺸﺮﺷﺪﻩ ﺩﺭﺑــﺎﺭﻩﻱ ﺍﻳــﻦ ﺑﻴﻤــﺎﺭﻱ ﮐﻪ ﺍﺯ ﺍﻭﺍﺧﺮ ﺳﺎﻝ 2019 ﻣــ ﻴﻼﺩﻱ ﺗــﺎ ﺍﻭﺍﻳــﻞ ﺳــﺎﻝ 2020 ﻣــ ﻴﻼﺩﻱ ﻧﮕﺎﺷــﺘﻪ ﺷــﺪﻩﺍﻧﺪ ﻭ ﻫﻤﭽﻨﻴﻦ، ﺑﻬﺮﻩﮔ ﻴﺮﻱ ﺍﺯ ﭘﮋﻭﻫﺶﻫﺎﻱ ﺩﺍﺧﻠﻲ ﮐﻪ ﺍﺑﻌﺎﺩ ﻣﺘﻔﺎﻭﺕ ﺍﻳــﻦ ﺑﻴﻤــﺎﺭﻱ ﺭﺍ ﺑﺮﺭﺳــ ﻲ ﮐﺮﺩﻩﺍﻧﺪ، ﻣﺼﺎﺣﺒﻪﻫﺎﻳﻲ ﻧﻴﺰ، ﺑﺎ ﺑﻬﺒﻮﺩﻳﺎﻓﺘﮕﺎﻥ ﺑﻴﻤﺎﺭﻱ ﮐﺮﻭﻧﺎﻭﻳﺮﻭﺱ ﺍﻧﺠﺎﻡ ﺷﺪﻩ ﺍﺳﺖ. ﺍﻳﻦ ﻣﺼﺎﺣﺒﻪﺷﻮﻧﺪﮔﺎﻥ، ﺩﺭ ﺑﺎﺯﻩﻱ ﺯﻣﺎﻧﻲ ﺁﻏﺎﺯ ﻓﺮﺍﮔ ﻴﺮﻱ ﻭﻳﺮﻭﺱ، ﺍﻭﺍﻳــﻞ ﺑﻬﻤﻦﻣــﺎﻩ 1398 ﺗــﺎ ﺍﻭﺍﺧﺮ ﻣﻬﺮ 1399، ﺩﺭ ﺑﻴﻤﺎﺭﺳﺘﺎﻥ ﺷﻬﻴﺪﺻﺪﻭﻗﻲ ﺍﺳﺘﺎﻥ ﻳﺰﺩ، ﺑﺴــﺘﺮﻱ ﺑﻮﺩﻩﺍﻧــﺪ. ﺑﺮﺭﺳــ ﻲﻫﺎ ﻧﺸﺎﻥ ﻣﻲﺩﻫﺪ ﺗﻮﺟﻪ ﻫﺮ ﭼﻪ ﺑﻴﺸﺘﺮ ﺑﻪ ﻣﻼﺣﻈﺎﺕ ﺍﺧﻼﻗﻲ ﺩﺭ ﻣﺮﺍﻗﺒﺖ ﺍﺯ ﺑﻴﻤﺎﺭﺍﻥ ﻣﺒﺘﻼ ﺑــﻪ ﺑﻴﻤــﺎﺭﻱ ﮐﻮ ﻭﻳــﺪ 19، ﻧﻴﺎﺯﻣﻨــﺪ ﮔﻨﺠﺎﻧــﺪﻥ ﺁﻣــﻮﺯﺵ ﺍﺧــﻼﻕ ﺣﺮﻓــﻪﺍﻱ ﻭ ﭘﺰﺷــﮑﻲ ﺑــﻪ ﺍﺭﺍﺋﻪﺩﻫﻨﺪﮔﺎﻥ ﺧﺪﻣﺎﺕ ﺩﺭﻣﺎﻧﻲ ﺑﻪ ﺍﻳﻦ ﺑﻴﻤــﺎﺭﺍﻥ ﺍﺳــﺖ ﻭ ﺑــﺮﺍﻱ ﻣــﺪﻳﺮﻳﺖ ﺑﻬﻴﻨــﻪﻱ ﺍﻳــﻦ ﺑﻴﻤﺎﺭﻱ، ﺿﺮﻭﺭﻱ ﺑﻪ ﻧﻈﺮ ﻣﻲﺭﺳﺪ.

In recent decades, on the one hand, we have faced atmospheric phenomena and environmental changes, and on the other hand, with the emergence of new diseases called emerging diseases. Managing emerging diseases requires an ethical approach to control and care for them. Ethical problems raising from new diagnostic and therapeutic advances in medical science have increased the need to address medical ethics. One of these emerging diseases of the present century, which is faced by almost the whole world and its problems, is coronavirus (COVID-19). The present study was conducted with the aim of assessing attention of medical staff towards ethical considerations in the care of patients with COVID-19. In this study, in addition to the use of articles published in English related to this disease from late 2019 to early 2020, as well as using national researches by different research groups, different dimensions of the disease is reviewed; Interviews were conducted with the COVID-19 recovered patients who were hospitalized in Shahid Sadoughi Hospital in Yazd Province from the beginning of February 2020 to the end of October 2020. Studies showed the need to put ethical considerations in the care of patients with COVID- 19 by training health care providers about professional ethics and medical ethics in the pandemic of the virus in order to optimally manage the disease.
