ديدگاه اعضاي هيئت‌ علمي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي البرز در خصوص داوري باز مقالات مجلات

The Viewpoints of Alborz University of Medical Sciences’ Faculty Members on Open Peer Review of Journal Articles

زمينه و هدف: فرايند داوري تخصصي باز يكي از روش‌هاي داوري همتا در مجلات بوده و در مجامع علمي پذيرفته شده است. هدف پژوهش حاضر تعيين ديدگاه اعضاي هيئت‌علمي دانشگاه‌ها در مورد فرايند داوري تخصصي باز بود. روش بررسي: پژوهش حاضر توصيفي-كاربردي بود كه به‌روش پيمايشي انجام شد. حجم نمونه با استفاده از فرمول كوكران، 150 نفر از مجموع 246 نفر اعضاي هيئت‌علمي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي البرز محاسبه شد. ابزار پژوهش، پرسش‌نامه‌ي خوداظهاري براساس متون بود. پس از جمع‌آوري داده‌ها، اطلاعات به‌وسيله‌ي نرم‌افزار SPSS و با استفاده از آمار توصيفي و آزمون t زوجي تحليل شدند. يافته‌ها: نتايج نشان داد كه ديدگاه شركت‌كنندگان در خصوص«رويكردها و فرايندهاي داوري باز مجلات» با ميانگين 3/48 و «مزاياي داوري باز مجلات» با ميانگين 3/70 نسبتاً مطلوب بود. شركت‌كنندگان از ميان سبك‌هاي داوري باز به‌ترتيب سبك‌هاي«گزارش باز» و «داوري داده» را بيشتر ترجيح مي‌دادند. ديدگاه شركت‌كنندگان در خصوص«مزايا و معايب داوري باز مجلات» نشان‌دهنده‌ي موافقت شركت‌كنندگان با اغلب مولفه‌هاي ارايه شده در اين زمينه بود. همچنين بين ميانگين نمره ديدگاه شركت‌كنندگان نسبت به فرايند داوري سنتي و داوري باز مجلات اختلاف معني‌دار آماري وجود داشت(0/05 نتيجه‌گيري: داوري باز در ميان اعضاي هيئت‌علمي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي البرز مورد پذيرش است. نظر به اينكه مقبوليت اين نوع داوري در ميان مجامع علمي بيشتر مي‌شود، توجه به نگرش‌ها و ديدگاه‌هاي مربوط به فرايند داوري باز مي‌تواند سبب بهبود كيفيت مقالات و پژوهش‌هايي ‌شود كه در مجلات علمي منتشر مي‌شوند.

Background and Aim: The open peer review process, which is one of the peer-reviewed methods in journals, has been accepted in scientific forums. The aim of this study was to investigate the points of view of university faculty members about the open peer review process of journal articles. Materials and Methods: The study used a descriptive survey. The sample size was calculated using the Cochran’s formula of 150 people out of a total of 246 faculty members of Alborz University of Medical Sciences. The research tool was a questionnaire designed based on the existing literature. Data were analyzed by SPSS software using descriptive statistics and paired t-test. Results: The results showed that the participants’ views on “approaches and processes of open peer review” with 3.48 mean score and “benefits of open peer review” with mean score of 3.70 were relatively desirable. Among the open peer review styles, participants preferred the “open reporting” and “data peer review” styles, respectively. Participants’ views on the “advantages and disadvantages of open peer review” also indicated that participants agreed with most of the components presented in this area. There was also a statistically significant difference between the mean score of participants’ views on the traditional peer review process and open peer review (P<0.05). Conclusion: Open peer review is relatively accepted among the faculty members of Alborz University of Medical Sciences. As the acceptance of this type of peer review increases among the scientific community, paying attention to the attitudes and views related to the open peer review process can improve the quality of articles and research published in scientific journals.
