چكيده فارسي :
در نيم قرن اخير، در ايران توسعه سرمايه‌داري در چارچوب اقتصاد متكي به نفت، سبب ركود بخش كشاورزي و رشد سريع شهرها گرديد. اين رشد سريع شهرنشيني به صورت متعادل صورت نگرفت، بلكه سبب رشد شهرهاي بزرگ و مانع رشد شهرهاي كوچك و روستاها گرديد. و به رغم دگرگوني‌ها در نظام شهري ايران، سيماي اسكان و استقرار جمعيت و شهرها تصوير مناسبي را به دست نمي‌دهد. به طور واضح روشن است كه گسترش سريع شهرنشيني در ايران به نوبه خود اميد به آينده‌اي بهتر را براي ميليون ها انسان شهرنشين از لحاظ داشتن وضعيت اقتصادي و اجتماعي به يك كابوس بدل كرده است. اين پژوهش با روش توصيفي ـ تحليلي سعي بر آن دارد با ديدي علمي و استدلالي به بررسي بازتاب‌هاي شهرنشيني نامتعادل در مناطق شهري ايران و تاثيرات اين فرايند در بعد فضايي و در نهايت به تاثيرات اين روند در شبكه شهري ايران پرداخته شود.نتايج بدست آمده از واكاوي علمي شهرنشيني نامتعادل حاكي از آن است در صورت ادامه اين روند در شهرنشيني ايران شاهد توسعه اجتماعي و اقتصادي ناپايدار، از جمله افزايش درآمد نابرابر، ائتلاف منابع، تخريب محيط زيست، ورود آسيب به ميراث طبيعي و فرهنگي ايران خواهيم بود.

Clearly it is clear that rapid urbanization in Iran, in turn, hope for a better future for millions of people in urban areas in terms of economic and social situation has turned into a nightmare. Accelerated destruction of the environment, insecurity and poverty, scarcity and lack of services and amenities, air pollution in cities, the growth of the informal economy in cities such problems is that with the expansion of cities or will be facing rapid urbanization.This study with analytical descriptive way tries With scientific and reasoning insight to consider the repercussions of unbalanced urbanization in urban areas of Iran and effects of the process geographical and spatial dimension and finally the impact of these trends in Iran's urban network.The results of the study of the unbalanced urbanization indicate that if you continue to see this trend in urbanization of unstable social and economic development Including increased income inequality, a coalition of resources, environmental degradation, damage to natural and cultural heritage of Iran. To solve these problems, the government should pursue economic strategy to balance urban and rural development as well as sustainable economic and social development.
