در جهان پساسرمايه‌داري كنوني، مطالعه در مسألۀ استعمارگري جديد و روش‌ها و پيآمدهاي خرد و درشت آن، به يكي از نگرش‌هاي مهم و قابل توجه در نقدهاي بينافرهنگي تبديل شده است. اين تحقيقات كه خود منشعب از نظريه‌هاي پست‌مدرنيستي و پساساختگرايانه هستند، منجر به ارائۀ تئوري‌هاي جديد و تحقيقات وسيع پيرامون مسالۀ استعمار، استعمارزدايي و پسااستعمارگري در متن‌هاي مختلف ادبي و هنري گشته است. مطابق اين نظرگاه، جنگ هشت سالۀ ايران و عراق، اگر چه در روساخت خود هيچ علائمي از تظاهرات استعمارگرايانه نمايان نمي‌سازد، اما در نگرش زيربنايي، ابعاد گسترده‌اي از مفاهيم تسلط و يا ميل به تسلط قدرت استعماري غرب را به نمايش مي‌گذارد؛ مسالۀ اصلي اين تحقيق، مطالعه در شعر دفاع مقدس به‌مثابه ادبيات پسااستعماري بوده است و نتايج حاصل از تحقيق كه به روش تحليلي و توصيفي انجام يافت گوياي آن است كه بسياري از مؤلفه‌هاي پسااستعماري و استعمارزدايانه همچون افشاي سياست جنگ‌افروزانۀ استعمار به‌عنوان چهرۀ اصلي اما پنهان جنگ، مقابله با دسيسه‌ها و فرصت‌طلبي‌هاي استعمارگرايانۀ غرب، تقابل فرهنگي با استعمارگري شرق و غرب، تكيه بر حفظ شعائر هويت خودي و تماميت ارضي و هم‌چنين همبستگي با تمام ملت‌هاي استعمارديده و تحت سلطه در گفتمان شعر دفاع مقدس انعكاس يافته است.

In the present post-capitalist world, the study of new colonialism and its various methods and consequences has become one of the most significant approaches in intercultural criticism. These theories, themselves bring a branch of postmodernist and post-structuralist , have led to new theories and extensive research on the issue of colonialism, decolonization, and post-colonialism in various literary and artistic contexts. According to this approach, the eight-year war between Iran and Iraq, while showing no signs of colonialist demonstration in its construction, shows a broad range of concepts of domination or desire for dominance by Western colonialism in its infrastructure.This study has mainly focused on the sacred defense poetry as post-colonial literature, and the results of the research - conducted in a descriptive and analytical manner - suggest that many of the post-colonial and colonialist components, such as: revealing the war-mongering nature of colonialism as the main yet concealed façade of the war, Countering conspiracies and opportunism of Western colonialism, cultural opposition to the Eastern and Western colonialism, relying on the preservation of its own identity and territorial integrity, as well as solidarity with all colonized and dominated nations, has been reflected in the sacred defense poetry.
