هدف اين مقاله مطالعه و خوانش مضامين بكار رفته در كتيبه هاي سنگ قبرهاي موزه باستان شناسي استان گلستان واقع در شهرستان گرگان است. اين موزه داراي گنجينه اي از نقوش و تصاوير متنوعي است كه تبلور هنر خوشنويسي در كنار ديگر نقوش، اهميت و نقش مهم آن ها را در بين فرهنگ، اعتقادات و باورهاي مردم منطقه نشان مي دهد. هنر خوشنويسي يكي از مهم ترين هنرهايي است كه در دورۀ اسلامي مورد توجه بسيار قرار گرفت و با آغاز و تدوام اسلام، اين هنر به رشد و تعالي رسيد و به علت دست يافتن به كمال زيبايي، در هنرهاي مختلف جايگاه ويژه اي يافت. يكي از زمينه هاي مناسبي كه از اين هنر بهره فراواني گرفته است، كتيبه نگاري بر روي سنگ قبرهاست. كتيبه هايي كه وجود دارند علاوه بر نشان دادن ويژگي ها و رابطه تنگاتنگي كه با فضاي قبرستان دارند، اطلاعات فرهنگي، تاريخي و اعتقادي مردم منطقه را نيز در اختيارمان قرار مي دهند. اين مقاله كه با روش توصيفي-تحليلي و مطالعه كتابخانه اي و مشاهده ميداني گردآوري شده است، در پي پاسخ به اين سؤالات است كه تزيينات كتيبه اي موجود در اين موزه كدامند و داراي چه مضاميني مي باشند؟ نتيجه بررسي ها نشان مي دهد كه هنرمندان بومي منطقه از خطوط مختلفي در كتيبه هاي سنگ قبرها استفاده نموده اند و در آن ها بيشتر از مضامين مذهبي هم چون آيات قرآني، ادعيه و اسماء و صفات الهي به همراه اشعار فارسي و نقوش هندسي و گياهي بهره برده شده است.

This article with descriptive-analytical method and library study and field observation has been collected, in search of answers to these questions that the inscription decorations What are the things in this museum and what are their themes? he results of the surveys show that the native artists of the region have used different lines in the tombstone inscriptions and They contain more than religious themes such as Quranic verses, supplications and divine names and attributes Persian poems and geometric and plant motifs have been used.
