The Importance of Teaching Quantum Mechanics in Secondary School and Investigating Students' Misunderstandings in Wave-Particle Duality

با ظهور مكانيك كوانتومي در اوايل قرن بيستم، علم فيزيك دچار دگرگوني عظيمي شد. خواص شگفت انگيزي كه در پديده‌هاي كوانتومي مشاهده شد، باعث شد كه علم كوانتوم در صنعت و پزشكي مورد توجه بسياري از محققين قرار گيرد. به گونه‌اي كه امروزه پيشرفت در بسياري از علوم مختلف مديون ظهور مكانيك كوانتومي است. با توجه به كاربرد علم كوانتوم در حوزه‌هاي مختلف، آموزش مفاهيم مكانيك كوانتومي كه نسبت به مفاهيم كلاسيكي بسيار متفاوت و در برخي موارد غيرقابل پذيرش هستند، از اهميت ويژه‌اي برخوردار است. در اين مقاله ابتدا به بررسي آموزش كوانتوم در كتب درسي متوسطه دوره دوم مي‌پردازيم. سپس به عنوان نمونه ميزان درك دانش‌آموزان متوسطه دوره دوم را از مفهوم دوگانگي موج-ذره با طرح چند پرسش بررسي مي‌كنيم.

The amazing properties observed in quantum phenomena have attracted the attention of many researchers in industry and medicine. Today, progress in many different sciences due to the advent of quantum mechanics. Due to the application of quantum science in various fields, teaching quantum mechanics concepts, which are very different from classical concepts and in some cases are unacceptable, has special importance. In this paper, we examine the teaching of quantum mechanics in secondary school textbooks. Then, for instance, we examine the level of understanding of secondary school students in the concept of wave-particle duality with a few questions.
