امنيت از ضروري ترين نيازهاي بشري در همة اعصار است و اين نياز در انديشة اسلامي نيز يكي از ضروري ترين و بزر گترين نعمات مادي و معنوي براي جوامع انساني و حيات فردي و اجتماعي به شمار آمده است. از سوي ديگر، يكي از وجوه بسيار بااهميت امنيت، بعد اقتصادي آن است كه به ويژه بعد از جنگ جهاني دوم، در دنياي غرب، به اين مفهوم چه از حيث نظري و چه از حيث عملي توجه ويژه اي گرديد و تلاش شد تا تأمين آن براي شهروندان با اهتمام افزونتري مد نظر نظامهاي سياسي و اقتصادي قرار گيرد. مستندات اين پژوهش، به خوبي بيانگر آن است كه بسيار پيش از اين در منابع قرآني و روايي، مفهوم متطور و پيچيدة امنيت اقتصادي و سازوكارهاي تأمين آن، به گون هاي بسيار دقيق و ملموس، مورد تبيين و تصريح قرار گرفته است و با اتكا به اين رهنمودهاي متقن و عملي، مي توان ضمن تمهيد و تأمين امنيت اقتصادي، جامعه اسلامي و بشري را در مرزهاي ايمان و نظام توحيدي، به توسعة عدالت محور و پيشرفت و تعالي مادي و معنوي رهنمون ساخت. امنيت در قرن بيست و يكم مفهومي بسيار گسترده و پيچيده تري پيدا كرده است. هر چه در دو قرن پيشين امنيت نظامي و سياسي داراي بيشترين اهميت بود، در قرن حاضر امنيت اقتصادي در اولويت قرار گرفته است. امنيت اقتصادي نيز همانند سرچشمه واژه خود امنيت، مفهومي گسترده و پيچيده دارد. امروزه در ارزيابي ميزان توسعه يافتگي كشورها، اهميت ويژه اي براي شاخص امنيت اقتصادي قائل مي شوند. امنيت اقتصادي داراي چنان ظرفيتي است كه تمام اركان جامعه را ميتواند تحت تأثير قرار دهد. در اين نوشتار با تحقيق و كاوش در دستاوردها و مطالعات انجام شده قبلي در مقوله امنيت اقتصادي و نظارت توسط پليس امنيت اقتصادي مي باشد.
