بررسي نظريۀ كامپيوتري ذهن و برخي لوازم آن از منظر حكمت سينوي

An Investigation of the Computer Theory of the Mind and Some of its Requirements from the Perspective of Ibn Sina’s Wisdom

در ميان مسائل فلسفه ذهن، نظريۀ كاركردگرايي، ذهن را يك كاركرد مي‌داند كه ورودي را به خروجي تبديل مي‌كند. براساس اين نظريه، با پذيرش تحقق چندگانۀ حالات ذهني، مي‌توان حالات ذهني را در غير انسان نيز يافت. ازآنجاكه كاركردگرايي بر نفي تجرد روح استوار است، داراي اهميت خواهد بود. از سوي ديگر، علم‌النفس سينوي، هم نفس و هم تجرد آن را اثبات كرده است. ازجمله براهين براي اثبات نفس، برهان انسان معلق در فضاست و نيز براي اثبات تجرد نفس براهيني آورده كه بر سلب ويژگي‌هاي بدني و نفس جسمانيت نفس دلالت دارد. ديدگاه كاركردگرايي نيز لوازمي دارد كه براساس حكمت سينوي مورد نقد و ارزيابي قرار گرفت. ازجمله اينكه تمايز اشخاص براساس نظريۀ كاركردي ذهن، مادي‌انگارانه است؛ درحالي‌كه حكمت سينوي ملاك صحيح را نفس مجرد مي‌داند. بنابراين براساس حكمت سينوي، نظريۀ كاركردي ذهن دچار اشكالات متعدد و اساسي‌اي است كه نمي‌توان با وجود آنها از نظريۀ كاركردي ذهن دفاع كرد. اين تحقيق در پي آن است كه نظريۀ كامپيوتري ذهن و برخي لوازم آن را از منظر حكمت سينوي با روش تحليلي ـ توصيفي مورد بررسي قرار دهد.

The theory of functionalism, one of the topics in the philosophy of mind, considers the mind as a function that converts input into output. According to this theory, by accepting the multiple realization of mental states, mental states can also be found in non-humans. Functionalism is important because it is based on the negation of the abstraction of the soul. On the other hand, Ibn Sina’s psychology has proved both the soul and its abstraction. The argument of man suspended in air (floating man) is among the proofs for the soul. Besides, for proving the abstraction of the soul, he has provided arguments that indicate the negation of bodily characteristics and the physicality of the soul. The functional view has requirements that have been criticized and evaluated based on Ibn Sina’s wisdom. According to the functional theory of the mind, the distinction of people is materialistic, while Ibn Sina’s wisdom considers the abstract soul as the correct criterion. Therefore, according to Ibn Sina’s wisdom, the functional theory of the mind has many fundamental problems that make defending it impossible. Using the analytical-descriptive method, this research seeks to examine the computer theory of the mind and some of its requirements from the perspective of Ibn Sina’s wisdom.
