واژه رافضه در نوشته هاي مسلمانان در گذر تاريخ به فراواني ديده مي شود. عنوان رافضه درباره شيعيان بسيار بكار رفته است. اين اصطلاح همچون لقبي براي بدنامي شيعه در جامعه بكار رفته است. كاربرد اين اصطلاح با گذر زمان گسترش يافته است و رفته رفته شناسه ويژه اماميه درآمد. در اين مقاله تلاش شده با بهره گيري از شيوه توصيفي - تحليلي و روش هاي رايج رجالي، حديثي و تاريخي به واكاوي معناي عنوان رافضه در احاديث پرداخته شود. موضوع اصلي اين نوشتار شناسايي معناي عنوان رافضه در روايت هاي منابع روايي سه سده نخست بوده و اثبات اين فرضيه كه رافضه عنوان جريان فكري بوده كه از غاليان و شيعيان تندرو شكل گرفته است. عنواني كه ابتكار مروانيان بوده و براي واپس زني شيعيان بكار مي رفت. اين پيشامد با نقل روايت هايي از پيامبر خدا (ص) آغاز شد و شيعيان در واكنش به آن با بازخواني معناي رفض احاديثي را از امامان (ع) نقل كردند.

The word Rāfīḍa is seen abundant into books' Muslims. The term Rāfīḍa has been used about Shiite numerous. That term has been used as a title for cursing Shiite into society. The usage of that term developed over time and became a special tag for the Imāmiyya gradually. This article tried to use the describing - analyzing method and common Rijal, Hadith, and Historical ways for analyzing of the Rāfīḍa meaning into the accounts. The main subject of the article is to discover the term Rāfīḍa meaning into the traditions of the sources of the traditions in the first three centuries and to prove the idea what the Rāfīḍa was a title of a theological movement that it has made by Ghulāt and extremist Shiites. It has invented by the Marwanid and was used to repel the Shiites. That event began by relating the traditions’ Prophet Mohammad (AS) and versus the Shiites responded it by remake the Rafḍ meaning and they related some traditions of the Imams (AS).
