چكيده لاتين :
This study was conducted to examine the chemical nature of glycoconjugate components on the surface of developing mouse medullary cells of the suprarenal gland. Mice embryos at 13-20days of gestation were fixed in B-IG and Formalin and then processed for leetin histochemistry. 5 micrometer paraffin sections were incubated with 10-15 (Mio)g/ml Solution of HRP/lectins from Vicia villosa Agglutnin-134 (VVA-B4), Wheat Germ Agglutinin (WCA) , Madura Pomifera Agglutinin (MPA) ,Orange fungus agglutinin (OFA), in 0.1 M PBS (Phosphate buffer Solution), PH 7.2. All sections were developed in substrate medium containing 0.03% DAB (Di Amino Benzidin) and 0.006% H202 in PBS buffer PH 7.2. From among the four tested lectins, only MPA showed reaction with developing medullary cells of the suprarenal glands . The marked changes in the appearance and distribution of the chromaffin cells glycoconjugates during Adrenal medulla morphogenesis support the concept that rapid changes occur in the structure of complex carbohydrates during embryonic development. The findings also suggest that Gal-Ga1NAc containing glycoconjugates may be of functional importance in the regulation of the embryonic chromaffin Cells during the course of their development.
