Rural Peopleʹs Benefiting and Expectations Pattern of the "Rural People" Radio Program in Semnan Province During 2001-2

Each radio program is typically made to achieve its predetermined objectives and to meet cartain demands of its audience. Studying and measuring the current needs and expectations of the program audience play a significant role in presenting a more efficient program, since these are always changing. The production of programs for a specific audience in particular should be therefore based realistically upon the results of expert investigations. This is a survey type of study and it has collected the data drawing on the questionnaires the reliability of which verified through the kronbach a coefficient. The society under study includes the rural people and farmers of villages in the Semnan province. Sampling was undertaken in a cluster and simple random method. Data analysis was conducted using the SPSS software, and the analytical statistics such as Eta^2, x^2, correlation coefficient (phi), Krammer correlation coefficient, and Spearman ranking correlation coefficient. One of the results revealed that the proportion of rural people listening to the Rural People program is at most 39 percent by the probability of 95 percent.
