Good nutrition has an important role in students health specially in female teenagers who are going to he the future mothers . They transmit new information from the society to their families which affect both children and families health.In this respect a semi- experimental study was done to determine the effectiveness and performance of educating nutritional programs in high school girls in 1379-80. The female students were deviled into two groups:one group had education in the form of lecture (by educated teachers) and the other one received pamphelet. At first, the students of each group filled questionaires containing questions about demographic characterstics, nutritional requirements, and patterns for teenagers vitamins and minerals , quantity and quality of foods and finally about cooking methods and food sanitizer in order to determine their knowledge. Then, the educated teachers give some information to the students of one group through a 10 meeting of 15 minutes speech (lecture) and the pampheletes were also destributed among the students of self- educated group. After 10 days both group were evaluated by the same questionaire. By using SPSS software we analysed our data and the results also were analysed by paired t-test and t-test. The results showed that knowledge had an increase in lecture groups from 42.1+5.9 to 53.8+7.3 and in pamphelete group from 43.7+6 to 50.6+6.6 (P<0001) but the mean of variation knowledge in lecture group was more than the other one (P<0.002). Of course this difference was more obvious on their knowledge of vitamins and minerals (P<0.001). Finally , the study revealed that teachers are useful and effective leaders in educating nutritional programes .
