In this paper, a new "smallest" Chimaeroid egg capsule ,Chimaerotheca farsensis n.sp. and its characteristics are described. This butterfly-like egg capsule of chimaeriod fishes consists of three parts :embryo case in central portion, Membrane and Tail. This is the first report of Triassic fishes from Iran .
