An Introdution to the British Library and a glance at its Document Delivery Center

Rapid development of publications, and shortage of space, financial possibilitias and professianal manpower causes that any library in the world have not ability and capacity of distinguishing and acquiring all its necessary information, so any library and information center is inevitable to use other libraries collections, possibilities and facilities in order to access to its required information. British Library is one of the most reputable libraries of the world, which in addition to the libraries of England it offers services to other libraries of the world. One of the most important services of this library is document delivery and interlibrary loan services. Iran is on of the countries which uses its services and 25 libraries and research centers are in contact with this library either direct or indirect.
