Librarians of digital libraries

Changes and developments in library and information sciences area and recent needs of users, have brought into existence a new generation of libraries, called digital libraries. These libraries, regarding their necessities, needs and their special conditions need librarians who can work in digital environment. These librarians are known as "librarians of digital libraries" or "digital librarians". Digital librarians are information scientists who work in the field of digital information organization, cooperation with other specialists, informational resources management, information processing, designing library links, guiding clients, and other activities. To do these tasks and roles best,. librarians must have necessary abilities, skills and tools. This article tries to determine tasks and roles of these librarians with reference to the above mentioned specialty and present a clear sight in this regard.
