Illustrations in National Bibliography of Iran and IRANMARC

This article is talking about descriptive cataloging of illustrations in Persian books. Anglo-American Cataloging Rules have sometime no coordination with the rules in the book Descriptive Cataloging Manual and the method used for descriptive cataloging of illustrations in National Bibliography of Iran. This article along with consideration of discordance cases, emphasizes on homogeneity and coordination in cataloging in order to prepare a background for mechanization of information on illustrations in IRANMARC, and also offers suggestions in this respect.
