The use of Internet by the academic staff and researchers of the higher education institutions of the Jihad-e-Agriculture of Tehran

The present study uses survey method to study and assess the situation of the use of Internet by the academic staff and researchers of the institute of Applied-Scientific Higher Education and Agricultural-Information Science Higher Education Centers of the Jihad-e-Agriculture of Tehran. Information is gathered through a questionnaire including 20 questions that has distributed among all members of academic staff and researchers having MA, Ph.D. candidates and Ph.D. graduates. After data extraction, they were analyzed and necessary charts were drawn by Excel. Findings show that more than 85% of the statistical population use Internet that most of them (57.6%) belong to the institute. of the Applied-Scientific Higher Education and 29.2% belong to the Agricultural-Information Science Higher Education Center. Also, holders of MA or MS are the most users of Internet.
