Quantitative condition of the production of scientific information by the academic staff of Azad Islamic University

Information in its general concept has played an important and major role in the blossom of the human societies. Scientific production and capacity is one of the standards of evaluation of development rate of any country and promotion of this ability need improvement in scientific productionʹs condition. The main goal of this research is determining quantitative condition of the production of scientific information by academic members of Azad Islamic Universities all around the country between the years 1996-1998. Results of the research indicate that the process of production of scientific articles,performing research projects and compiling books have had increasing course in educational departments during the mentioned period. Highest rate of scientific production belongs to department of humanities and Lowest to department of arts.
