Study of the information needs of managers, compilers and educational experts of Organization of Educational Research and Planning

This study was conducted to determine the information needs of managers, compilers (textbook) and educational experts of OERP (Organization of Educational Research and Planning). In order to help the library to improve its services from the 324 questionnaires send to experts and managers, 273 were returned. Results show that "books" and "journals" are the most important sources. Experts and managers use reference and abstract information to update their knowledge and doing their routine activities. English language is used as a foreign language. Dictionaries are used more than other reference books. Internet sources satisfy their needs, but to find information, they prefer to use search engines. Roshd website, UNESCO website and Yahoo were used by the research population. Network information and SDI services were suggested.
