Subject trends in childrenʹs fiction books

The objective of this research is to study the situation of childrenʹs fiction books published during the years 1997-2001 on 19 different subject trends. Research findings show that the highest percentage of the subjects published during the studied period respectively belongs to imaginative stories (30 percent), animalsʹ stories (25.4 percent), and social stories (12.3 percent). Also, lowest percent of the stories published are related to heroes fictions and psychological fictions (each one with 0.1 percent), and mystical fictions (0.2 percent). Therefore the hypothesis of the research stating the existence of a meaningful relation among the published books on 19 given subjects in a year comparing with the previous years is approved.
