Status of school libraries at information age

At the present, the world is converting to an information society. For correct formation of the information society, information infrastructure, development of necessary possibilities, using modem information technologies, and training experts have special importance. School libraries have an important role in this field. This article along with reminding of the role of education, it mentions the status of school library. In continuation it reminds of the tasks a school librarian should undertake at the age of information; functions that expands his/her role as aprogram manager, information specialist, teacher, educational assistant, school librarian, and marketing manager.
