A Survey on Globalization Effect on Textile, Wearing Apparel and Leather Industries

Globalization is a phenomenon that appearing in the present age caused excessive change in different basis. Attentive to expanding extent of requirement and specialized product that causes excessive dependency of countries; integration in world economy is unavoidable. Globalization points to growth of economic relationship between countries in world level and increase in exchange dimension, kind of goods, services boundary exchange and expending technology. Attentive to oldness and importance of Textile, Wearing apparel and Leather industries and possibility to join Iran to WTO a survey on the globalization effect on these industries, is necessary. In this thesis, the globalization measurement has been benefited from two variable LIT (Level of International Trade) and IIT (Integration of International Trade) and surveyed the effect of globalization on technical efficiency, export of Textile, Wearing apparel and Leather industries. (ISIC 32 code) Approximately econometrics functions show that globalization have negative effects on efficiency, export of Textile, Wearing apparel and Leather industries. Estimation trend of two used variable and result of approximately econometrics functions show that Textile, Wearing apparel and Leather industries arenʹt placed on positive trend of globalization and these industries will encounter problem if Iran connects to WTO. With due consideration to results of research it recommends that labor used parts must develop, and supports the parts of industries that dependents on internal sources.
