JUDICIAL INSTITUTIONS OF THE EU AND THEIR ROLE IN ITS INTEGRATION

Judicial Institutions in the EU are of great importance in this regional organisation, as regards the intention of its founders to have an ever closer union since its establishment. They have come into existence since the early days of its setting up in the 1950s. The creation of the European Court of Justice is the far most important indication of such intention. Despite its evolution during the last decades, which has been occured due to some development in concerned aspects, its significance has come to the ultimate point ever been thought. This particular judiciary system with a semi-compulsory jurisdiction, through its judicial control has done a great job without which the EU would be in severe difficulties. It prevents the member states from any wrongdoing by issuing clear rules and decisions and also sheds lights over grey areas of the EU treaties by its opinions. This article is going to consider its structure while its role in the integration of the EU will be tackled.
