A PERSPECTIVE TO THE SPOUSE-KILLING PHENOMENON IN FARS PROVINCE

The Spouse - Killing is a crime in which a husband or a wife kills his or her marriage partner. In this crime not only one partner but in fact the whole family will be considered as the main victims of the criminal act. The reason is that the lawful punishment will have negative psychological effects of guilt not only on the criminal and the children of the family as will. They may feel completely hopeless and disappointed, and as a result find some motive for deviance and criminal acts. The Spouse - Killing in Fars province as in many other provinces was studied by the researchers in the Research Institute for Criminology and Criminal Sciences. In order to find the motives and factors influencing their criminal acts 18 of the 24 men and women prisoners (11 women and 7 men) of our sample in Fars province, accepted to cooperate, and they were interviewed.
