HISTORICAL ROOTS OF NON POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT OF IRAN FROM THE LIBERALIST AND ISLAMIST THINKERʹS VIEWPOINT (BEFORE ISLAMIC REVOLUTION)

This article is about the study of theories concerning obstacles of political development in Iran. It explanis, in one hand, the viewpoints of liberal thinkers of Iran, like Malkam Khan, Mirza Agha Khan Nouy, Taghizade, Adamyyat and so meny others in this spectrum, and in other hand, it is an approach to Islamic thinkers, view on political development obstacles in Iran. This article attempts to clarity that the lack of political thought challenging with old structurs of despotism, has been the cause of continous despotism in Iran, and the political thought itself has been an effect of this fact that Iranʹs society did not need development and change in political and social structures. The patrimonial culture, lack of challenging political thought,, and grounds to develop political system, the tribal structure, lack of political and economic institutions independent from state, are factors of non political development of Iran.
