The survival rate of prosthesid attached to two dental implants (ILS)neo-dent system replacing a lower molar(Research)

Lower molar replacement is one of the challenges in the field of dental implantolotgy. The aim of this study was the survival rate of the prosthesis attached to two dental implants (ILS) Neo-Dent system replacing a lower molar. The selected patients were healthy, non-smoker, lack of psycological disorders, lack of high patient expectations, lack of bruxism and poor oral hygiene. All dental implants were placed as delayed or delayed immediate replacement (after 10 weeks of extraction). For each molar 2 dental implants were placed. After 2.5 months the abutments were screwed, impressions were taken and the splint crown were cemented. Thirty eight dental implants were placed replacing 19 molars in the 15 patients with the mean age 45 (minimum of 18 and maximum of 64). Ten patients were women and five were men. The mean vertical bone loss after one year of loading were 0.2 mm with the minimum of zero and the maximum of 0.5 mm. All prosthesis did passed our criteria of success. Replacing the lower molars with two-dent screw type implant (ILS) is a succesful approach.
