EFFECTS OF COMPUTER GAMES ON INTELLECTUAL ACTIVITIES AND IMMUNOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF CHILDREN

An important research step in the field of "Psychoneuroimmunology" is the study of efects of computerized emotions on psychological status and physiological capacities of children and adults. This study aims to test the hypothesis that computerized games results in significant negative efects on abstractive and immunological activities. Based on Salomonʹs research design, sixteen secondary students (mean age=12/6) have been randomly selected and assigned to four experimental and control groups. Errors and performance time in the Kohs Blok Design Test and the Completed Blood Count Test (C.B.C) were measured before and after the experiment. Analysis of results indicate that emotional computerized games have signifieantly increased the subjectsʹ errors in the Kohs Test, and also it significantly changed their eosinophiles, neutrophiles and lymphocytes percentages.
