Factor Analysis of the Constructs of Effectiveness in the System of Development, Transfer and Application of Agricultural Technology (AKIS) based on the Opinions of Extension Experts in Iran

The present research which is a survey of descriptive study, a questionnaire was used to investigate the opinions of 88 agricultural extension experts of the country about the strength point and weakness of the AKlS in lran. Using factor analysis of technique, 8 factor were identified as the main constructs affecting the AKIS in Iran as described by the extension experts. Planning as the first factor determined about 15% of total variance and was the most effective factor. The next factors were agricultural policy. Extension and practicipation, resources, investment, dispersion or spreadness, users and the time of production and transfer each determined about 12.5, 11.8, 9.5, 6.85, 6.84, and 6 percent of total variance of the AKIS, respectively. Collectively, they determined about 77.5% of the total variance underlying the AKlS. Hence, only 22.5% of the total variances are due to other factors that were not determined in this study.
