بررسي فنولوژي گل خودناسازگاري و تعيين گرده دهنده مناسب براي گلابي شاه ميوه

STUDY OF FLOWER PHENOLOGY, SELF-INCOMPATIBILITY AND DETERMINATION OF THE BEST POLLINIZER FOR ʹSHAHMIVEHʹ PEAR

ʹShahmivehʹ pear is one of the most important pear cultivars grown extensively in Iran. I During 2 years (2000 and 2002), flowers of ʹShahmivehʹ pear were self- and cross-pollinated I with pollen grains of pear cultivars: ʹBartlettʹ, ʹBeurreBoscʹ, ʹBeurreHardyʹ, ʹKoshiaʹ, ʹLuisbonʹ, ʹPeighambariʹ and ʹSefaslehʹ. ʹShahmivehʹ pear showed gametophytic self-incompatibility. therefore use of compatible pollinizer for ʹShahmivehʹ is necessary. Pollen grains of ʹKoshiaʹ and ʹBartlettʹ induced highest fruit set, therefore they are suitable pollinizers for ʹShahmivehʹ. ʹPeighambariʹ pollen grains had the lowest rate of germination and could not fertilize ʹShahmivehʹ flowers. Therefore, it can not be recommended as pollinizer for this cultivar. It was found that pollinizer can influence fruit set and seed number per fruit. Pollen grain source had no significant effect on fruit weight and TSS. There was no correlation between seed number per fruit and fruit weight.
