Prophet Mohammadʹs (S) letter to Khosrow Parviz

The honorable prophet Mohammad (S) wrote many letters to Arab and non-Arab kings concerning his divine and global mission. This article is about prophetʹs letter to Kasra, king of Iran. The letter gives us some insight about prophetʹs manner of inviting others to Islam and also helps us understand the conditions prevailing in social structure and religious beliefs of Zoroastrians who were dominated by their government. Khosrow Parviz tore prophetʹs letter. He was the only person who committed such an act. This shows us the extent of corruption in the Iranian court. The article makes us familiar with Prophetʹs (S) conduct and propagation of Islam as well as social and political conditions of pre Lslamic Iran.
