چكيده لاتين :
Organization effectiveness and efficiency depend greatly on the job qualification of the employees, especially managers. Regarding the role of managers in the organizationʹs success, their qualification, knowledge, information, and required skills are vital for the success of managerial functions. Therefore, selecting the qualified individuals for managerial positions is among the important and complicated duties in human resource management. During last two decades, the process of human resource assessment and development has been prevailed in leading companies of most industrial and developed countries .for the training, development, performance evaluation, and promotion of managers. In this article, the definition of assessment and development centers, and their objectives, along with the assessment aspects, techniques and tests are discussed and the difference between assessment centers and development centers is clarified. At the end, the stages of designing assessment centers and the history of these centers in Iran are expressed.
