The Character and Works of the Author of the Commentry al-Mabani li-Nazm al-Ma `ani

The author of the Commentry al- Mabant li nazm al-ma`am was unknown till very recently. He is revealed to be Abu Muhammad ʹAhmad ibn at- `Asimi. Contrary to what some orientalists hold, he was a learned man from Khurusan. His other book, Zayn alfata fi sarh Surat hal aril, is also extant. To expand his learnings, he traveled to Harat, Balkh and Kerman. He considered himself to be from Karamyan. His ideas reflected in these two books, in addition to what scholars related about the facts of the karumryye religion, aroused suspicions on what the heresiographers hold about this sect.
