The meaning of form Specially in Fine Arts

Formʹ, is one of the basic concepts and key points of art which needs to be classified and explained artistically due to its wide range of meaning, its integration and openness. The complete dissection and elaboration of dimentions and different conceptual aspects of "form" are not emphasized in a lot of books so the necessity to deal with different respects of the meaning of such a basic term becomes more evident.Hence ,in this paper ,it is first tried to survey its literal meaning according to some creditable persian , English to English dictionaries and also English Encyclopediae, then a focus on its philosophy based on Greek ,and some western philosophers and Islamic philosophy so that we can conclude its conceptual pecularities and its general meaning. We then mention specific definition which are submitted by artists in different art books and eventually , its meaning and its different aspects and dimentions will be explained as a conelusion.
