With respect to relatively sharp changes of the exchange rate n Iran in recent years and Their dual effect on Sectors investment, this article addresses the effect of higher read exchange rate on investment ;: the two Sectors of agricalture and industry and mining. In this way, a single investment patterns) is derised and its coefficients are estimated by time series data of 3959-1995 as well as the new coefficients method, The results suggest that higher exchange rate in the short term causes higher investment agr caltume and lower investment in industry and mining but in the long tern: its effect on investment in both Sectors is positive.
