THE ROLE OF THE COSSACK FORCE IN MANAGING CRISIS IN THE GHAJAR ERA(from the beginning to the bombing the Majlis building)

As a force established by the Russians in Iran, the Cossacks appeared in managing two major events: a-Reggie contract b- the Constitutional Revolution in Iran. In managing these two, the Cossack force acted differently that was in line with the interests of itʹs establisher, namely Russia;, that is, in the first place, itʹs role was quite passive and forbearing, and in the latter, much active and serious, so that it went so far as to bomb the people-elected Majlis. These two conflicting treatments indicate that, after all, the Cossack force, as a policing force, endeavored to guard Russiaʹs interests and those of Iranʹs. Nevertheless, the middle layer of the Cossack force, were predominantly Iranian officers, who in a few occasions, proved to be accompanying people and often joining them, so it proved effective in bringing to success the manner in which they treated the crisis. This article tries to describe the way the military management was done on the part of the Cossack force in the two dominant political and social crises in the Ghajar Era.
