Conversion of natural gas to synthesis gas (Hz+CO) was investigated. Experimental study of the process was carried out using a pilot scale synthesis gas generator at atmospheric pressure. Fuel equivalence ratio was used as independent process variable. Results were summarized with respect to the evaluation parameters such as H2/CO ratio, CO selectivity, natural gas conversion and process yield. Optimum process conditions were also presented. The operation of the system shows successful production of synthesis gas from natural gas
using noncatalytic partial oxidation.
