The seeds of F. vulgare Mill. ssp. Capillaceum were collected from six different locations of Iran and their essential oils were obtained by distillation and steam distillation. The oils were produced at the yields of 1.38% (Hamedan) to 1.74% (Marivan) and analysed by Capillary Gas Chromatography, Because of similarity between all chromatograms, only one of them was injected to GC/MS. Eighteen compounds were identified among which (E)- anethole (62.1-77.5%), alfa-fenchone (8.8-14.4%) and methyl chavicol (3-5-5.5%) were the major constituents, respectively.
