مقايسه عملكرد تحصيلي ، سلامت رواني و جسماني دانش آموزان پسر فاقد و واجد پدر با توجه به نقش تعديل كننده حمايت اجتماعي در پايه اول دبيرستانهاي شهرستان اهواز

This research was carried out to compare the academic performance, mental and physical health of first grade high school students lacking and having a living father. In addition, social support of students was also compared. The sample consisted of 200 students, selected randomly from the educational districts of the city of Ahvaz. The subjects answered five tests: Cooper Smithʹs Test of Self-esteem, Symptom Checklist 90-Revised (SCL90-R), Standard Progress Matrices (SPM), Social Support Scale (SSI) and Intensity Illness Scale. The studentsʹ GPs were used as their gerenal academic performance index. One way ANOVA and covariance analysis were the major statistical methods in this research. The studentsʹ intelligence, self esteem, economic-social condition and the length of death of father were controlled. The findings showed no singnificant difference between the two groups. Also the findings showed that social support led to significant differences within each group.
