چكيده لاتين :
One of the main factors which determine the quality of concentrated iron for steel production is the phosphorus concentration in the final output of the iron processing plant (Iran steel requirement about %0.052). In this research, particle size, grinding and the degree of freedom of minerals are thoroughly investigated.This research is aimed at investigating the effect of particle size on the degree of freedom of minerals. Thus, first of all, the range of grinding of the output of SAG (Semi Auto Gen) mill and required intensity of magnetic field were determined, then the percentage of solid in the pulp and washing steps were optimized. The results indicated that in order to get a concentrate with appropriate quality, it is necessary the particles size of the output of SAG mill system to be reduced to 38 (D80 = 32 µm) and wet magnetite separators of 1200 gauss intensity and 25 rpm in four consecutive series to be used for washing the pulp with %35 solids.
With the above conditions selection it is possible to obtain cumulative magnetite recovery of %76.59 with a phosphorus concentration of %0.052 and iron grade of % 69.14. To achieve the above conditions the processing plant should be redesigned for new ball mill, hydrocyclones and magnetic separators.
