A Comparative Study of Serum CA125 in Normal Pregnancy and Threatened Abortion

This cross-sectional study , based on case-control sampling , involved 50 women with normal pregnancy and 50 women with threatened pregnancy of less than 12 weeks ; thery were selected from those referring to Ghaʹem Hospital in Mashad , Iran . The results indicated the mean serum CA125 to be 58.17 u/ml and 30 u/ml in patients with continued and threatened pregnancy respectively , and the difference was considered significant (P <0.05) . Finally , it was concluded that serum CA125 level could be considered a suitable marker helping us estimate the outcome of patients with threatened abortion .
