Epoxy coatings are widely used as chemical- resistant coatings in jet fuel tanks. There materials are used as protective coatings to prevent corrosion of metal surface.
Corrosion is often happened extremely rapid at small discontinuities in coatings, and breaks or blisters in coating may produced by activity of microorganisms, such as Sulfate- Reducing Bacteria (SRB) beneth the coating
In this report, we describe microbial attack on two samples of Iranian made coating products which used on jet file/ tanks. Coating deterioration was assessed by visual observations SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy)
