توليد گاز سنتز توسط اكسيداسيون متان با اكسيد روي

Synthesis gas is one of the important raw materials.for petrochemical industries. The usual methods for synthesis gas production from natural gas are catalytic reforming and partial oxidation. But the basic problem of these methods is catalyst deactivation. Therefore, it is very interesting if synthesis gas is produced as a by-product of another reaction. In this research the oxidation of methane with ZnO is considered for producing metallic zinc and synthesis gas. This reaction was studied by thermogravimetry and continuous gas analysis by mass spectrometry. Gaseous products analysis showed that synthesis gas with H2/CO ratio about two was produced which is very suitable for methanol production plants.
