چكيده لاتين :
Throughout pre sent study, a novel model for simulation of LNAPLs pollutants propagating in aquifers is developed. The presented fully-coupled formulation consists of equilibrium and continuity equations. A galerkin-based finite element method is used for spatial descritization of the governing equations whereas temporal discretization is carried out using kantrovich one-dimensional finite- element method.
Throughout the derived set of equations solid-phase deformation as well as capillary pressure values are the primary unknowns and may be used to determine other reservoir variables such as saturation, stresses, etc.
The developed model is verified by applying to two distinct bench-mark problems. The applicability of the model is proved by satisfactory results obtained.
