A Study and Comparison of Types of Identity in Ideological and Interpersonal Dimensions in Male and Female Students of Shahid Chamran University

This study was designed to examine the distribution of the University of Shahid Chamran Studentsʹ identities across the lbw types of identity diffusion, identity foreclosure, identity moritorium and identity achieved. The main hypothesis posited that the students, in general, and male and female students. separately, are distributed differently across the above .four types or identity. Chi square analyses confirmed all the hypotheses. The results showed that the hypotheses were confirmed as well [or the ideological and interpersonal dimensions were also confirmed. The findings were discussed according to Erickonʹs and Marciaʹs views.
