POPULARIZING SECURITY IN MANAGING SRISES(A CASE STUDY OF IRANʹS KURDISTAN)

Gaining popular support is highly important in bringing to success the management of security. The positive role of people is highly valuable as the most important factor of providing security, the amount of which is calculated with respect to the extent people cooperate with government in countering domestic threats. Popularizing security constitutes one of the strategic principles of crisis management in Kurdistan. Believing in this principle and in a growing manner, the Islamic Republic Guards Corps (the IGRC) and itʹs commanders managed to use this factor in improving and stabilizing security in the region. This article, while studying the background, objectives, and properties of popularizing security, will focus on the security functions of this approach in crisis management.
